1. Scope
This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") applies to the RutaPro mobile application, the website https://rutapro.app, and digital services operated by RutaPro Labs S.A.P.I. de C.V., a subsidiary of GRUPO FERNSBY S.A. DE C.V..
This Policy complements our Security Policy and Terms of Use. In case of conflict between documents regarding personal data processing, the provision most protective of the data subject shall prevail.
2. Data we collect
RutaPro adopts the principle of data minimization. Information that may be processed includes:
- Trip data visible on screen (distance, fare, time) for profitability calculations — processed locally on your device.
- Financial records you voluntarily enter in the wallet (income, expenses, notes).
- App preferences (profitability thresholds, language, notifications).
- Minimal technical device data (operating system, app version) for diagnostics and compatibility.
- Contact data you provide when writing to support (name, email, inquiry description).
We do not request Uber, DiDi, or any mobility platform credentials. We do not access your driver account on third-party services.
3. Purposes of processing
We use the described information exclusively for the following purposes:
- Providing profitability analysis, financial management, and safety backup features.
- Personalizing your experience according to your configured preferences.
- Handling support, privacy, and rights requests.
- Complying with legal obligations and responding to competent authorities.
- Improving app stability and performance through anonymized diagnostic data, only with your consent.
4. Local processing
RutaPro's distinctive feature is local processing: screenshot analysis and profitability calculations are performed on your phone, without sending trip content to RutaPro servers for centralized storage.
This means most of your operational information remains under your direct control in Android's protected storage.
You can delete this data at any time from the app or by uninstalling the application.
5. Sharing with third parties
RutaPro does not sell, rent, or commercialize drivers' personal data.
We may share limited information only in the following cases:
- Technology infrastructure providers (hosting, website analytics) under confidentiality agreements and only with strictly necessary data.
- Competent authorities when there is a legal obligation or duly founded requirement.
- Legal or accounting advisors of RutaPro Labs, subject to confidentiality duties.
We do not share trip data, screenshots, or financial records with Uber, DiDi, or other mobility platforms.
7. Data retention
Data stored locally on your device remains while you keep the app installed or until you manually delete it.
Support inquiries sent by email are retained as long as necessary to resolve your request and comply with legal obligations, generally no more than 24 months.
Anonymized technical diagnostic records, if any, are retained for the period strictly necessary to improve app stability.
8. Data subject rights
Under applicable data protection legislation in your country, you may exercise the following rights:
- Access: know what personal data we process about you.
- Rectification: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: request deletion of your data when no longer necessary.
- Objection: object to processing for specific purposes.
- Withdrawal of consent: revoke authorization for optional features.
- Portability: request a copy of your data in structured format, when technically feasible.
To exercise these rights, send a request to hola@rutapro.app with your name, contact method, and clear description of your request. We will respond within a maximum of 20 business days under applicable Mexican law.
9. International users
RutaPro Labs S.A.P.I. de C.V. operates from México. If you use RutaPro from Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala, Bolivia, Brazil, or the United States, the data controller is the Mexican entity identified in this document.
For users in the European Union, we process data in accordance with GDPR principles to the extent applicable to our local processing model.
For California residents, we recognize rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) to the extent applicable to our services.
10. Minors
RutaPro is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not intentionally collect data from minors. If you become aware that a minor has provided us information, contact us to proceed with deletion.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices, app functionality, or legal requirements. We will publish the current version on this page with the last updated date.
We recommend reviewing this Policy periodically. Continued use of RutaPro after changes implies acceptance of the updated version.
